Music-Art for the cause of Love

Gypsytown Music is not a non profit, not yet. I am just trying to inspire others about these things- it inspires ME to do so. I would love for anyone interested in being a part of Gypsytown Music to contact me! Or anyone with contacts for making the Nevada City community more full of music, for booking shows that are good for the soul....Email please at podnahtown@yahoo.com or through the Coal Beautiere myspace link (provided by clickin our picture above).

Do something real with your music.
You can play music thats not just about you?!
Play music to promote freedom, in the world as well as in your own life!
Music saves, tis true.
I am not saying get out there this second and make a benefit show or set up a campaign. That stuff is great. But even just writing a song or performing with your heart in the right place works the magic. I could explain further, but you probably get it. You know, the whole drugs and rock n roll thing seems so 80s-90s.
I think there is more to being a kid these days anyways. People who are 18 these days, especially musicians, seem to be a little more pure of heart than us older kids. I think generations work through their parents issues, and resolve them best they can. Hopefully those super egocentric issues of Americans from
the 70's through 90's have turned into a concern that's not stemming from such direct insecurity- anyways.. Do the nice things.

Music just for music's sake is no longer something for the incredibly talented
or the lucky ones who get a record deal. Everyone is making music these days. I love that there is more art and music running through our veins,
but MySpace has taken over half our lives, and music seems to be coming from every direction these days. Alls I am saying on this Gypsytown collaborative artist site is "get involved, make music matter, be an influence of lifesaving proportions".
Play music that matters in some small way.
HAVE MEANING IN YOUR SHOWS, HAVE BIG HEART, Do the nice things.
